Thailand offers an entire spectrum of
impressive meeting venues ranging from world-class
purpose-built convention and exhibition centres
to exquisite award-winning hotel properties around
Bangkok and the self-contained coastal or country
resorts of the provincial capitals. |
| |
Carefully
designed for maximum functionality, Thailand's
venues of the 21st century offer multiple applications
and infinite flexibility to serve events of varied
size and complexity, either as stand-alone events,
or simultaneously in several dedicated zones.
|
Space
can be reconfigured within a matter of hours. Innovative
space design instantly transforms convention and
exhibition halls, ballrooms, lobbies, concourses and
open spaces into showcases for exhibits, exclusive product
previews and launches, and promotional activities.
After sun-down, the same space becomes a magnificent reception
area for cocktails, a "black-tie" gala event and other
functions.
The
venues are well-equipped with the latest state-of-the-art
equipment and accessories but also provide the
option of supplementing in-house facilities with equipment
rented from specialised service providers at favourable
rates. This includes stage, audio-visual and lighting
equipment as well as simultaneous interpretation
sets. The venues comply with internationally- recognised
standards and offer facilities for children and
childcare, as well as the handicapped.
Telecommunications
infrastructure and Internet connectivity have been greatly
enhanced so the country is wired for hi-tech presentations,
video-conferencing, live broadcasts and other
digital applications. An extra perk, you can now dial-up
in the comfort of your five-star hotel room. Or
simply stroll down to the local cyber cafe right
around the corner for a real deal.
Additionally,
all of these world-class venues offer in-house catering
capabilities and white linen service on par with
what is offered by hotels. In addition to venue management,
venues offer convention and exhibition support services
such as in- house professional convention
organisation (PCO) and professional exhibition organisation
(PEO) services.
In
Bangkok, all of the venues are either centrally-located
or have expressway access so they are within approximately
30 minutes drive to and from the city centre.
In upcountry locations, most centres are either self-contained
or within commuting distance from hotels nearby.
Thailand
offers a diverse choice of highly functional venues,
each with its own distinctive strengths. This
enables organisers to place their events in a venue
which best suits their needs and show profile.
As a result, the country is already seeing a steep
increase in the number of international conventions
and exhibitions in the years to come.
In
their quest to create just the right touch for that
one-of-its-kind unforgettable event, Thailand's
event organisers, incentive houses and destination
management companies go that extra mile.
Their
ingenuity and resourcefulness ensures that any
"space" you desire, on land (or on water) can
be transformed into a theme venue. That includes
anywhere from the conventional ballroom, exhibition
hall, lobby, garden, pool and riverside venue,
to the unconventional warehouse or granary. Or
awe-inspiring outdoor venues such as Thailand's
UNESCO-designated Cultural World Heritage Sites,
including the Ayutthaya and Sukhothai Historical
Parks. Plus museums, mansions, temple grounds
and more.
Exotic
theme venues are dotted around the country. Located
in some of the most spectacular natural surroundings
with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand
or the Andaman, the forested mountains of the
North, or overlooking the Mekong River in the
Northeast, these meeting facilities are equipped
with state-of-the-art facilities.
All
are also within an hour's flying time from Bangkok,
or a relatively short coach or train ride away,
and in some cases, a leisurely cruise Occasionally,
the organisers mobilise the support of local villagers
in lending an extraordinary sense of reality to
the chosen theme. In essence, the whole town or
island literally becomes the stage set for the
event.
These
unique locations ensure that the experience is
truly exceptional. Furthermore, outside catering
services provided by hotel or restaurant caterers
can easily be arranged, so there's no need to
trade haute cuisine for the sensational ambiance.
Thailand's
natural and culturally exotic landscape provides
the perfect backdrop. There are no boundaries
to what can be achieved - just endless possibilities
unlocked by one's power of imagination. |
