It is certainly not completely true. It really depends on the package you buy. Here, at Hotel Compare Price, we offer both private tours and join-in tours. If you are purchasing a join-in tour, you will not share a room with a stranger by paying a single stay surcharge.
How to identify, if that is a join-in tour?
Very easy, if the prices show the number of persons traveling, then they are private tours and on the other hand if it states join-in then they are join-in tours. To make sure that you stay in a single room in join-in tours, please make sure you request so in your reservation.

| How can I book your package? |
We offer two methods of booking your trip. If you have the trip you are interested in and you immediately decide to book, you can use the book now function on that same page. Note that we don't require any deposits at this stage! We will have to check the availability of the package as well as all details of the tour. We will revert to you with all the confirmed details and the invoice. It is then that you will need to make full prepayment either through credit card or wired transfer.

After completing the booking form, our online agents will return to you within 24 hours advising if they have been able to confirm all the details of trip. If our online agents have not been able to confirm all details as requested, they will advise you of the elements that have not been able to confirm and offer alternatives. If you are happy with the details confirmed, then you will proceed with the payment process.

| What is your cancellation policy for tour packages? |
If unexpected circumstances should arise and impact your holiday plans, we would be glad to assist you with the cancellation procedures and refund your money. Our rates of refund are derived from our suppliers' requirements, and can be summarized as follows:
- Cancellation 30 days or more before trip commencement -- full refund
- 15 - 30 days -- 70% will be refunded
- 7 - 14 days -- 50% will be refunded
- Less than 7 days -- no refund
The above rates are valid for all trips offered at ModernThailand.com, unless otherwise stated by online agent upon confirmation of booking. For authentication purposes, only written cancellation notices (e-mail or fax) will be accepted.
The refund will be made through bank transfer or through your credit card, depending on the original method of purchase. Please note that if your purchase was made through a credit card, the amount you receive will reflect a 3% deduction from the full price as a result of the processing fee charged by the credit card company. Additionally, although we will instruct the bank to handle the crediting process immediately upon notification of cancellation, it could take up to four weeks for the actual crediting to take place, depending on your Bank's practice.
